Salvation is…Healing
Psalm 103:1-4 – the benefits of salvation
> Do we doubt that God always wants to pardon, redeem, crown? why put healing in another category?
IF WE DO NOT BELIEVE IT IS GOD’S WILL TO HEAL, WE WILL RARELY, IF EVER PRAY FOR THE SICK
Salvation [sozo] = to be made whole (spirit, body, and soul)
Used interchangeably with salvation or healing!
Mark 5:22-23 … lay Your hands on her, that she may be healed, and she will live.”
Luke 8:35-37 …They also who had seen it told them by what means he … was healed.
James 5:15-16 And the prayer of faith will save the sick, …pray for one another, that you may be healed.
God’s promise of healing in the cross:
Isaiah 53:4-5 … The chastisement for our peace [shalom] was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.
Matthew 8:16-17 … He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet…
Jesus’ mandate to His disciples:
Luke 9:1-2 Then He called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases…. He sent them to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.
Luke 10:8-9 “Whatever city you enter …heal the sick there …’The kingdom of God has come near to you.’
Mark 16:15-18 these signs will follow … they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.
Matthew 28:20 …teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you;
1 Corinthians 12:28 And God has appointed these in the church… miracles, then gifts of healings…
JESUS MANDATED THAT WE PURSUE THE ANOINTING FOR MIRACLES – ESPECIALLY HEALING. WITHOUT HEALING, WE ARE ONLY PREACHING PART OF THE FULL GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN
Romans 15:18-19 … in mighty signs and wonders… I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.
NOT EVERYONE GETS SAVED RIGHT AWAY WHEN WE PREACH TO THEM. NOT EVERYONE WILL GET HEALED RIGHT AWAY EITHER
WE BELIEVE THESE THINGS BECAUSE GOD PROMISES THEM – OUR EXPERIENCE DOES NOT TRUMP THE WORD OF GOD.
FOUR REASONS HEALING DOES NOT HAPPEN:
1. LACK OF FAITH
IF “FAITH” DOES NOT RESULT IN ACTION THEN IT IS NOT FAITH. BELIEVING THAT GOD CAN HEAL THE SICK IS NOT ENOUGH. DE-MONS BELIEVE THAT GOD CAN HEAL THE SICK.
Your faith has made you well…

2. WE DON’T ASK — OR WE GIVE UP TOO QUICKLY
* Luke 18:1 – Parable of unjust judge that men should always pray and not lose heart…
* Galatians 6:9 … in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.
> Oftentimes, delayed answers are due to spiritual warfare! Daniel 10
3. LACK OF INTIMACY

> God is not a vending machine. He is a person with whom we relate!
WHEN WE ARE FALLING SHORT IN LIVING A SUPERNATURAL LIFE, WE DON’T RESOLVE TO TRY HARDER! WE JUST DO WHATEVER IT TAKES TO GET CLOSER TO HIM!
4. WILLING TO SETTLE FOR OKAY
> Man at Bethesda John 5:5-6
JESUS DID NOT ENDURE THE CROSS SO WE COULD HAVE A “TOLERABLE RECOVERY” FROM THE WORKS OF THE DEVIL. HE CAME THAT WE COULD HAVE LIFE, AND THAT TO THE FULLEST!!!
